Coast Guard Administration Drone Training Facility

As the core facility for the Coast Guard Administration’s drone (UAV) training and operations, this project ingeniously integrates the dual characteristics of the “natural maritime environment” and “forward-looking technology.” Through the deconstruction and transformation of architectural volumes and interior lines, we have materialized the unwavering commitment to safeguarding the homeland and the imagery of drone flight into a spatial experience that exudes both aesthetic elegance and dynamic tension.

01 Solid Foundation | The Steadfast Imagery of Protection
The spatial volume of the front building adopts the “solid rock” as its core design vocabulary. Through the application of steady, substantial materials and precise facade articulation, it conveys an indestructible protective force. This grounded and composed spatial tone not only provides users with a deep psychological sense of security but also profoundly interprets the Coast Guard’s brand character of guarding the maritime borders day and night to bring peace of mind to the public.

02 Vertical Dynamics | The Technological Tension of Flight
To echo the flight characteristics of drones, the central area employs sleek vertical rhythms and linear elements to delineate a visual momentum of ascending and soaring into the sky. This continuously upward-reaching spatial tension not only breaks the heaviness of the solid volumes but also symbolizes the continuous advancement and boundless reach of modern, technology-driven law enforcement.

03 Ocean Waves | The Fluid Silhouette of Riding the Waves
The spatial contour on the left side ingeniously integrates the organic curves of “ocean waves,” softening the rigid and serious expression of the overall architecture and interior. These flowing and vital arcs serve as a gentle response to the surrounding marine environment, while also endowing the entire space with the dynamic momentum of riding the wind and breaking the waves. This adds a touch of harmonious beauty—a blending with nature—to an otherwise rigid law enforcement agency.
